1. Drink lots of water
My first tip is to drink a lot of water, preferably 6-8 glasses a day. It may sound a lot but trust me, it keeps your skin more refreshed than any cream that you will ever use! With water being one of the only things I drink, I have found that I have fairly flawless skin so the results are definitely worth it!
2. Cleanse and tone your skin
I love cleansing and toning my skin, it is the perfect way to remove all makeup and dirt without having to go through too much effort. I like to take my olay essentials conditioning milk and wipe it all over my skin and then I use a makeup remover pad and sweep it across my face to remove any initial makeup. Then I take the olay essentials refreshing toner and pore some onto a separate pad and then I wipe it across my face aswell. I do this at least once a day and it is the best thing you can do to keep your skin clean.
3. Keep your makeup brushes clean
Now, I'm not going to go into too much detail about this one but if you want to read more about cleaning your makeup brushes, click here to read the blog post I made about it. Basically it is really important that you keep your makeup brushes clean so that no bacteria can get into your pores causing you to break out.
4. Use a face mask regularly
My next tip is to use a face mask regularity, if you don't want to fork out on a new packet of face mask each week, why not invest in getting one in a tube like this one? It is so much cheaper than buying a new one each week and it lasts forever! Different face masks do different things so it is important that you choose one that does what you want it to. For example you might get one like this which cleanses your skin but you may get another one that hydrates your skin. So make sure you pick the right one for your skin.
5. Wash your face
This tip is pretty self-explanatory, wash your face. I reccomend finding a good face wash that is right for you, again just like the face masks, face washes do different things. I like using this one by clearasil which is the daily clear skin perfecting wash for sensitive skin. It doesn't take two seconds for you to splash your face with some water after applying this to your face so why not do it?
6. Take care of your eyes
As well as looking after your skin, it is very important that you look after your eyes. There are various different eye creams and roll on's you can get so for the third time, make sure you get one that suits you. I like to use the soap and glory you won't believe your eyes, eye roll on and the simple soothing eye balm. I find these very useful as they brighten my under eye area, eliminate dark under eyes and moisturize. Something like this doesn't cost a lot of money so it is worth investing in.
7. Moisturise
Tip 6 is to moisturise your skin. I moisturise my skin every day because it makes my skin feel so soft and lovely and it also gives my skin a great base for applying my makeup. I find that the simple hydrating light moisturiser works best with my skin so it is a good idea to shop around and test some different moisturisers to find one that you love.
8. On good days, use a BB cream
Makeup is one of the main causes of breakouts and overall bad skin so on days when I'm not going out or not going anywhere special, I like to put on this translucent bb cream by soap and glory. It is also great to have no makeup days as it gives your face a break. This bb cream is spf 25 so even on summer days at the beach, it will keep your skin protected.
9. Use good makeup
By "good makeup" I mean makeup that won't cause too much damage to your skin. Similarly to the last tip, makeup is one of the main causes of bad skin so it is a great idea to invest in some makeup that does good for your skin. Bare minerals is one of the best brands for this as I think they use natural ingredients and nutrients that do good.
