Baby Skin - Does it Work?
Thursday, October 23, 2014
As you may have heard, Maybelline have released a new "instant pore eraser" primer, in result of the amazing results that came from Baby Lips. You may also know that there has been a fair bit of controversy over this product. I know that most of my friends who own this product weren't to keen on the idea and didn't think it worked. However, I managed to find a sample and give it a shot.
Baby skin claims to "erase your pores" and seeing as my skin hasn't been at it's best recently,(especially due to some open pores on my nose), I thought this was the perfect opportunity to give it a shot. As you can see, the product is a clear formula which in my case is a bonus because it has no added colour which could alter the complexion of your skin. I was fairly surprised when applying this to my skin as I was not expecting the product to be as thick, this meant that I only needed to apply a small amount to my nose. I'm not quite sure about the texture however, as it did appear to feel a little greasy an left my fingers with.. well lets just say not a very nice residue. Despite this fact, it did leave my skin feeling quite soft. Also, I found that it created a great base for applying foundation on the top.
So, the question we have all been dying to hear is: does it really work? In my opinion the answer is yes. As you can see from the image above, with one thin coverage of baby skin, the pores on my nose reduced significantly. Some of you may not be able to see the difference but it is 100% noticable after all of my face makeup is applied. In the first image I had no makeup on what so ever and in the second image, I only had baby skin on. I found that after creating a nice base, it is possible for you to wear the product on it's own and it still look great! So.. What do you think?
