BEAUTY AND THE BLONDE

Hello Everybody. I'm simply only excited to make this post due to the fact that I no longer have to put the word "Mini" in the title. My lipstick collection has definitely expanded since the last mac collection post I made and is ever still growing larger which I am guilty to admit. I one hundred percent deserve the title of "Mac lipstick hoarder" But who can blame me?

There is no other way to describe this lipstick other than the perfect pinky nude. I'm so obsessed with this lipstick purely because it is super creamy and just glides on my lips. Being an amplified makes it really moisturising and the colour is very vibrant making the amplified lipsticks some of my favourites. I'm definitely not as fond as this lipstick as I thought I would be due to the fact that the pink undertones don't look brilliant with my skin. However I still have a place for 'Blankety' in my heart. I would recommend this to anybody with a slightly darker or more pink based skin tone as it can wash you out slightly.

VELVET TEDDY - MATTE

And so we have arrived on the famous 'Velvet Teddy' otherwise known as the 'Kylie Jenner Lipstick'.  The finish of this lipstick is matte which is definitely my most used and favourite finish. However, velvet teddy in particular is extremely creamy and it's hard to tell that it is matte. It is really moisturising (as most mac lipsticks are) and I find that this warm toned slightly deeper nude goes perfectly with my pale yellow-toned completion. Of course, if you are going to buy this lipstick, I recommend that you buy 'Whirl' lip pencil to go with it as they are a perfect match. 

CREME CUP - CREMESHEEN

'Creme cup' is a very muted less vibrant baby pink. Although quite a vibrant colour is shown, I find that this isn't the longest lasting lipstick in my collection as the finish is cremesheen (Not a finish that I would usually grab) However, the colour is perfect for those days when you're feeling a bit girly and you want a light but subtle pink to finish off your look.

PINK PLAID - MATTE

To you, pink plaid may appear slightly similar to creme cup. However, pink plaid has a more of a purple undertone and of course it matte, as I have mentioned before, one of my favourite finishes. Think of a girly Kylie Jenner and out pops this colour, it is subtle yet gives your makeup that bright pop that completely finishes off your look. As most mac lipsticks, it is ultra moisturising and always leaves my lips feeling really soft afterwards. The only downside to this lipstick is that it can rub off quite easily.

CHATTERBOX - AMPLIFIED CREME

You may have noticed that I'm quite a big fan of girly pink shades. however in comparison to pink plaid and creme cup, chatterbox is (not only much creamier) but it is a much brighter warm toned pink that really brights up your face, perhaps a pinkier 'your lips but better' colour. I find that this lip colour looks gorgeous with a simple neutral eye with a pop of bright pink blush. I feel like no matter how much makeup you wear, this colour can always tone down

VEGAS VOLT - AMPLIFIED

Ah finally, a colour that isn't pink. Vegas volt is a beautiful coral-orange with red undertones. I think that this is a very beautiful colour and on top of this, it is one of the smoothest applying, creamiest lipsticks that I own. This is definitely a summer statement lipstick for me as it is very bright however I feel as though it is perfect with an every day natural look. If you are too scared to jump straight into buying 'morange', I recommend trying vegas volt first as it is a much more muted version.

ALL FIRED UP -  RETRO MATTE

'All fired up' is a very beautiful bright and bold red undertoned pink and I am obsessed with it. I never really was the type of person who wore bold lipsticks such as this one however after falling in love with it in the mac store, I thought I would give it a go, is it possible to be in love with a lipstick? This is definitely not one for the fainthearted as it is very bright and very matte, I do find however that this is a slightly more drying matte than my other colours but it stains your lips and lasts for hours even with food and drink.

FLAT OUT FABULOUS - RETRO MATTE

This colour, although being a bold pink, has a strong purple undertone. I didn't know how well (or not) I would suit 'flat out fabulous' as purple lipstick is not really a territory that I enter into. However, I have recently found that purple really suits skintones such as mine and I was pleasantly surprised to see the result of this lipstick. Again, this is a matte and similarly to the last colour, it stains your lips and lasts a long time but is not necessarily the easiest to apply as it isn't very creamy, probably due to the fact that it is a retro matte. 

RUBY WOO - RETRO MATTE

'Ruby woo' is probably the most vibrant, bright true red colour that I own. Yet again, this is a retro matte so very similar to the last two colours in the sense that it eventually feels very dry and heavy on your lips after wearing it for a long but who can beat the intense matte finish. I find that this colour looks beautiful on every skintone and also looks great with a natural eye to really make the lips pop.

TWIG - SATIN

I was nicely surprised by the finish of 'twig' as I have not really ventured into many of the different finishes at mc as you may be able to tell. However I found that the satin finish is very creamy whilst being long lasting and easy to apply so basically just the best combination of everything! I love the colour also as it is a pinky-brown and I like to use this with 'pink treat' lip pencil as if really brings out the colour and makes it pop. What I love so dearly about this lipstick and the reason that i treasure it in my heart so much is simply because it is such a diverse colour and pretty much suits any makeup look that you want to go for. It is that one lipstick that you reach for and put on at the last minute and it will look stunning no matter what.

SIN - MATTE

Despite looking very black/dark brown in the image, 'sin' is a very pretty deep red colour and I am very happy that I bought it. Being pretty much the only dark lipstick that I own, I love it to bits, I find that the colour is surprisingly easy to wear as it is easily buildable and you can wear it at whatever strength that you wish. However i find that the formula is very similar to the retro matte's as it is quite heavy n the lips and dries out my lips a lot. Anyway, it is a beautiful colour and I love to wear it to intensify my look.
